    About the design

Molly Ivins (1944 - 2007) was a beacon of hope for Texas progressives and a fearless hellraiser. A journalist determined not to be pigeonholed as a traditional "women's writer" who focused on high society and fashion, she directed her sharp wit and satirical commentary at the political figures of the day. She wrote for The New York Times, the Houston Chronicle, and the Texas Observer, and authored several acclaimed books about American politics including the highly praised biography Shrub: The Short but Happy Political Life of George W. Bush

"So keep fighting for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't forget to have fun doin' it. Be outrageous...rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through celebrating the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was!"
